Putting Facebook to Work

On Facebook yet? Is your business? You probably should be, but your business definitely should be.

Let’s talk about you first. It’s purely a personal decision. Do you want to reconnect with your past, keep up with your friends, and maybe learn more about them than you ever wanted to know in the first place? If you answered yes, Facebook is the place for you. Personally I have a cross section of old friends, new friends, business associates and have become fans of people, places and things to which I now feel a connection. It truly seems to bring you closer to famous personalities, restaurants you enjoy, or causes in which you believe. It is this inexplicable connection that makes Facebook at must for your kitchen and bath (or other) business, whether you operate out of your home, have a showroom or are a manufacturer.

For example, create a Facebook page for your showroom. Invite your past clients, friends, associates, suppliers, leads and family to become fans. Remember these are called social networking sites with the emphasis on the networking. We all know the value of referrals in our business…Facebook fans = referrals.

Each week post a finished project, talk about a new product, a manufacturer’s special incentive, a showroom event or just what’s new. This is your way to keep in touch with your network – top of mind awareness for the 21st century!

Need an example… visit Artisan Kitchens and Baths of Buffalo, NY http://www.facebook.com/pages/Buffalo-NY/Artisan-Kitchens-and-Baths/103984432070?ref=ts
When a business page get 100 fans or more, Facebook will set you up with a more logical URL than the one you can see for Artisan Kitchens and Baths, so you want to try to get as many people to become fans as possible – but fans have expectations of continual communication – so be prepared to update on a regular basis.

Now, if you’re reading this, you can help Z promotion & design get a more logical Facebook URL – follow the link below and become a FAN! I appreciate it…
